Therapy for women & moms
A place to slow down, be heard, and grow strong roots.
Warm, down-to-earth counseling for women who carry a lot. Whether you are in the thick of motherhood or a new season of life, you do not have to hold it all together here.

Does this sound familiar?
You take care of everyone. Who takes care of you?
So many women quietly push through. If any of this feels close to home, you are not alone, and you do not have to keep doing it by yourself.
- You hold everyone together, but no one asks how you are doing.
- Your mind races at night through tomorrow’s to-do list.
- You love your kids and still miss the person you were before them.
- You feel “touched out,” short-tempered, then guilty about it.
- You are tired in a way that sleep does not fix.

Meet your therapist
Hi, I’m Emily.
Emily Waldren, LISW
I’m Emily Waldren, owner and mental health therapist at Rooted Women. I am passionate about helping women identify their strengths and feel more confident in relationships, work, motherhood, and unexpected life challenges.
Women often carry the emotional weight and pressure to conform to society’s expectations of femininity, body standards, emotional regulation, and professional identities. These expectations are often unrealistic, contradictory, and stress inducing, leaving women with questions about their own identities and how to carve their path forward authentically.
I believe our resiliency and adaptability as women are deeply rooted within ourselves, even if we have not yet discovered this on our own. My role is to help you become familiar with your deeper sense of self to improve your quality of life. I will guide you through the process of therapy with empathy and care as your story unfolds. Rooted Women supports a respectful environment prioritizing autonomy, cultural sensitivity, and the overall health of women.
My therapeutic approach integrates
- Solution-Focused Therapy
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy
- Dialectical Behavioral Therapy
- Family Systems
- Trauma-Informed Therapy
- Motivational Interviewing
